History

Northern Transformer was formed in 1981 by a group of specialists with years of extensive experience in all the varied aspects of the power transformer business. They brought together the practical skills essential to expand into a full organization dedicated to building liquid filled, power transformers of the highest quality. The founders established guidelines so that those following would continue the same level of client service and satisfaction. This philosophy has resulted in the development of a stable, reliable team of experienced, long-term employees.

Design & Manufacturing

The majority of transformers have a particular electrical or mechanical requirement not detailed by standard specifications. Each Northern Transformer is custom designed and manufactured to ensure the transformer meets the specific needs of the customer.

Northern Transformer Incorporated manufactures units to meet customer specifications and either CSA C88, ANSI C57, or IEC standards.
