Qualifications and Certifications

Our Quality Management system is certified to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 by our registrar SGS, and also meets the requirements of CSA N299.2 - Quality assurance program requirements for the supply of items and services for nuclear power plants, Category 2.

We have implemented an Environmental Management System to meet the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 to minimize the risk of environmental issues and continuously reduce our environmental footprint. 

This certification reflects our commitment to providing a safe and healthy work environment, preventing work-related injuries and illnesses, and continuously improving our health and safety performance across all operations.

Northern Transformer ensures all factory acceptance testing equipment and 3rd party acceptance testing laboratories are calibrated by ISO 17025 certified providers.

Our in-house metal fabrication shop is CSA W47.1 approved.
Our welders, supervisors, WPS and WPDS are CWB approved.

We use welding supplies that have been CWB approved.

Additionally, our staff is trained and certified for NDT and welding inspections.
